Cuil: A rival search engine for Google by its former employees.
Cuil is a search engine developed by Anna Patterson, a former employee of Google. She shook hands with her husband (Tom Costello) and some former employees of Google and now trying to take on her previous employer.
The makers of the Cuil search engine say it should provide better search results and display them in an attractive manner.
So as per normal human nature, I reviewed the Cuil search engine for one of my site which is coming in top 20 search results in Google, is coming no where in Cuil. Only some pages out of that site are listed in the Cuil search list and those also very later pages.
So I believe that Cuil at this moment is not what they are promising. But this is just a beginning for Cuil so it may become more effective day by day. One more thing I would like to comment about Cuil is I don’t like the interface provided by them. They tried to keep it more attractive but there is no meaning of having 2 columns and 3 columns.
These causes may affect the popularity of Cuil against Google. What do you think about it? Give your suggestions and opinions.

My mom says she has seen it happen. A former employee who left on good terms, but quit because they were not able to work there anymore.

If cuil still continues to evolve for the better, then it stood a chance against google. Unfortunately, cuil could not find my site as well. And, i don’t like its layout. I want simpler ones like that of Find.com, a new search engine like cuil.
