Google adsense placement tips – Increase Profit

Have you ever imagine that google adsense placement can drastically increase your profit from it? It is important that how you do adsense ad placement on your page. The adsense placement should be different depending on the page type. That means that the adsense ad placement will be according to the type of the page that is website or blog. Here I will explain you some basic ad placement tips which are basically suggested by the google itself.

Though there are so many writings describing where to place adsense ads. But google has developed heat maps after so much research on the highest earning adsense placement.

Google says, This heat map illustrates these ideal placements on a sample page layout. The colors fade from dark orange (strongest performance) to light yellow (weakest performance). All other things being equal, ad placements above the fold tend to perform better than those below the fold. Ads placed near rich content and navigational aids usually do well because users are focused on those areas of a page.

Similarly for blogs red color has the highest interaction with the users and then blue. Generally search box should be put on the top left area of the blog.

There are so many sites or blogs who have changed their layout after google has released this heat map, and they have seen incredible change in their click through means they are earning more online from google adsense than they were before. ;)

    I think the placement of ad links in the standard menu position where people are used to find the navigation is bad. It is deceptive and may increase the bouncerate. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Rgds, Trond
